It’s easy to forget that for newcomers to the piano, identifying within 88 keys can be daunting. Finding Middle C for some students can be like finding a needle in a haystack and let’s face it, whether we like it or not, Middle C is a crucial component to most beginning exercises and pieces. This fun Color My Piano activity will help students learn white note location in relation to the black keys and neighboring notes. It will also reinforce the alphabet, colors and fine motor skills. You can print or upload to your tablet and with an annotation app, like Notability have them color and/or write the note names there.
One PDF has the keyboard starting on C and the other has it starting on F, so students have to work a little harder to find C!
